His journey to create Bags Into Beds was inspired by a chance encounter during travels through rural Mexico. Witnessing a community using plastic bags to stuff rudimentary mattresses ignited his mission to turn plastic waste into supportive items for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Michael's vision extends beyond Los Angeles; he aspires to expand the organization's reach to combat plastic pollution across the United States
and beyond.
